Fox Electronics has expanded its extensive line

of frequency control products by adding a new line of OCXOs (oven compensated crystal oscillators). The new FTS501AH OCXO meets stratum level accuracy requirements for telecommunications applications, making the new oscillators ideal for use in base stations, telecom switching, GPS and LAN/Wan applications as well as in test and satellite equipment.
The FTS501AH OCXO offers a frequency stability of i250 ppb over the standard temperature range of 0°C to 70°C (32°F to 158°F) and an overall accuracy of ±4.6 ppm for all conditions over 10 years. Frequency range of the new OCXO is 10 to 40 MHz. Supply voltage is 5.0 V, with 3.3 V available, and control voltage is 0.5 V to 5.0 V. Storage temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
In addition to the 14-pin DIP configuration, these new oscillators are offered in a variety of different packaging and stabilities, based on customer requirements. The OCXOs are also available in CMOS and sine wave versions.

ULTRA LOW PROFILE MINIATURE WATCH CRYSTAL
Fox Electronics has released a miniature watch crystal that measures just 7.0 mm x 1.5 mm with an extremely low profile of 1.4 mm, making it the lowest profile standard watch crystal currently available on the market for real time clock (RTC) applications. The FSX327 crystal is an extremely cost-effective alternative to custom miniature, low profile watch crystals used in space-confined RTC applications. With a frequency of 32.768 kHz, the new FSX327 is optimised for a 12.5 pF load capacitance. Frequency tolerance is 20 to +20 ppm at 25°C and frequency stability is -0.03±0.01 ppm over -40°C to +85°C . Turnover temperature range is +20°C to +30°C and the operating temperature is -40°C to +85°C. Minimum insulation resistance is 500 megohm at 100 VDC and maximum equivalent series resistance is 65 kilohm.
EXPANDED hz RANGE FOR F4100 CRYSTAL
Fox Electronics announces that it has extendedthe frequency range and stability options of its popular F4100 Series crystal oscillators to 170 MHz with stabilities as tight as ±50 ppm (F4105) for all conditions. The oscillators are ideal for applications that require increased speeds and better noise characteristics, such as Fibre Channel, SONET, ATM, microprocessor and microcontroller. The new oscillators' extremely low profile makes the series ideal for today's advanced portable PC and instrumentation designs. A 3.3 V HCMOS miniature surface mount device (SMD), the F4100 provides increased battery life, reduced heat generation and improved EMI characteristics as well as a standby mode for lower power consumption. With a standard operating temperature range of -10°C to +70°C, the Series F4100 also has an optional -40°C to +85°C range. Output symmetry for the F4100 Series is 40% to 60% at 1.65V over the frequency range of 50 MHz to 170 MHz; input current is 60 mA maximum.
