How to convert dBM to Watts?

Watt Power = 10((dBm-30)/10)

There are some simple "shortcuts" that can help you do quick math.

You only need to remember that 30dBm is 1 Watt.

  • Every additional 10dBm is 10 times the wattage
10dBm = 0.01 W  20dBm = 0.1 W  30dBm = 1 W  40dBm = 10 W   50dBm = 100 W

  • Every additional 3dBm is 2 times the Wattage
    24dBm = 0.25 W   27dBm = 0.5 W 30dBm = 1 W   33dBm = 2 W      36dBm= 4 W
